🎄 Christmas Gifts for Goalkeepers: How to Choose the Right Floorball Equipment

A goalkeeper is the last line of defence between the opposition and the goal. Every save requires quick reactions, concentration and freedom of movement. That's why choosing suitable goalkeeper equipment matters. 🥅

Looking for a Christmas gift for a floorball goalkeeper who's just starting out, training regularly or playing competitive matches? In this category, you'll find inspiration for goalkeeper masks, protective vests, jerseys, pants, pads, gloves and practical accessories.

When choosing a gift, appearance and price aren't everything. The most important thing is to find equipment that matches the goalkeeper's size, experience level and personal preferences.

⭐ What Are the Best Floorball Gift Ideas for Goalkeepers?

• ✅ Goalkeeper masks – an essential part of goalkeeper equipment. The correct fit, comfort, visibility and required certification are important.
• ✅ Goalkeeper vests and jerseys – equipment with different fits and levels of padding to support comfortable movement during play.
• ✅ Goalkeeper pants – practical gifts for goalkeepers who need freedom of movement and suitable padding.
• ✅ Knee and elbow pads – additional protective equipment for regular training sessions and saves.
• ✅ Goalkeeper gloves and accessories – useful options for players who prefer catching with gloves, along with other practical equipment.

🧤 How to Choose the Right Goalkeeper Equipment

1. Goalkeeper mask – size and certification

A goalkeeper mask is one of the most important pieces of equipment.

When choosing one, check the correct size, head circumference and adjustment options. The mask should fit securely without excessive movement or uncomfortable pressure.

A clear view of the court is also important.

If the goalkeeper plays competitive matches, check the required IFF approval and marking. Not every mask available for purchase is necessarily approved for official competition.

2. Goalkeeper pants, vests and jerseys

Goalkeepers need to kneel, move across the goal area and react to shots comfortably.

When choosing pants, vests or jerseys, pay attention to size, fit, padding and freedom of movement.

Some models include integrated protective elements, while others are designed to be worn with separate pads.

If you're buying goalkeeper clothing as a Christmas gift, try to find out which size the recipient currently wears and compare it with the manufacturer's size chart.

3. Knee and elbow pads

Goalkeepers regularly put pressure on their knees and elbows when making saves.

Well-fitting pads can help cushion impacts while allowing comfortable movement.

Choose the correct size and a design that suits the goalkeeper's preferences. Pads that are too loose may shift during play, while those that are too tight can feel uncomfortable.

4. Goalkeeper gloves

Some floorball goalkeepers prefer wearing gloves, while others like to catch the ball with their bare hands.

Before buying gloves as a gift, find out whether the recipient actually uses them.

Different models offer different fits, padding, palm grip and materials. Choosing the correct size is also essential.

🎁 What If You Don't Know the Goalkeeper's Size?

Not sure which mask, pants or pads the recipient needs?

In that case, it's better not to guess. Goalkeeper equipment often has specific sizing requirements, and every goalkeeper has slightly different preferences.

Consider practical accessories, an equipment bag or training aids instead.

If you'd rather let the recipient choose, an eFloorball gift voucher is a convenient alternative. They can select their preferred mask, clothing or other equipment themselves.
