Unihoc

The UNIHOC brand was founded in 1972 by Swedish floorball enthusiast Carl-Åke Ahlqvist in Mölndal, Sweden. Several years before that, he brought plastic hockey sticks for indoor floorball to Sweden. Since then, floorball and UNIHOC have developed together, and today Unihoc is proudly the first and still active floorball brand in the world.

Knowledge of the history of this sport is invaluable to Unihoc and forms the basis of daily efforts and plans for the future. UNIHOC is today one of the world's leading manufacturers of floorball equipment, which I export and sell in more than 60 countries around the world.

The Unihoc brand symbolizes quality, design and innovation. Unihoc's constant goal is to create perfect floorball products that contribute to the development of this sport worldwide.

UNIHOC is known for its innovative and revolutionary products, and it strives to continue this tradition. Products like the first Kevlar shaft, the successful Player blade, Curve shaft and lightweight Carbskin shafts have set new standards in the floorball industry, and Unihoc continues to bring new innovations to the market.

UNIHOC is headquartered in Mölnlycke near Gothenburg, Sweden, Unihoc also has sales offices in Chur and Luzern (Switzerland), Greven (Germany) and Stockholm (Sweden). Unihoc's vision for the coming years is to raise awareness of floorball and contribute to its recognition as an Olympic sport. He believes that this is an achievable goal, and this motivates Unihoc to take further steps. They are always trying to create new exciting products with an emphasis on quality, design and technical development.

History of Unihoc

1972 - Quality Made in Sweden

  • Unihoc was founded in 1972 in Mölndal, Sweden, by Carl Kem Ahlqvist. The first model of the Original floorball stick was launched. It was made of polyethylene and was 80 cm long. The stick is still produced and sold in many countries.

1992 - New technology

  • The first stick with a shaft made of a material other than plastic was released under the name Kevlar Standard in 1992. The length of the floorball stick was 95 cm and the stiff shaft had a great influence on both the game itself and the speed of the shots.

2004 - Renew Group sets the agenda for the future

  • UNIHOC acquires Renew Group Sweden AB in 2004 and moves to new facilities in Mölnlycke, Sweden

2006 - A new step in development

  • In 2006, the Curve club model is launched, which becomes an instant success. Pressed shaft technology with a curved shape significantly facilitates shooting harder shots.

2011 - Unihoc signed a contract with IFF and became an official supplier

  • Unihoc signs a contract with the International Floorball Federation (IFF) in 2011 and becomes its official supplier of floorball material. Thanks to this collaboration, Unihoc continues to spread the sport around the world.

2014 -The last step towards becoming a complete supplier of floorball

  • Unihoc shoes are launched in 2014 and a wide range of shoes for floorball players are coming to the market. With the addition of shoes to the range, Unihoc has become a complete floorball supplier to floorball clubs and retailers.

2017 - Unihoc moves to a completely new office

Unihoc and Renew Group have moved into a brand new building in Mölnlycke. Production, warehouse and administration. All under one roof.
